After graduating in 1996 from University of Wales, Swansea in Economics, trained as a journalist at De Montfort University under the NCTJ/PgDip scheme. Became involved with online news media based projects across Europe since 1998.

Carpenter has worked in a variety of technical project support positions within the Internet sector for six years. Extensive project management experience, building the web hosting platform for mission critical applications for news organisations at Globix Corporation and IXEurope plc.

Now a client manager at Verisign UK (www.verisign.co.uk), based in central London.

Phil as assistant producer, supported the acftv team in the production of the film 'Lord of the Wing' directed by Jamie Doran - a biography of one of the greatest footballers and most complex of characters to ever grace the football field.
